Passengers Perish in Pakistani Plane Crash

Pakistani Airplane CrashThere is no clear reason as to why Airblue Airbus 321 crashed into the heavily wooded hills near the Pakistani capital on Wednesday, but the catastrophic accident claimed the lives of the 152 passengers and crew that were aboard.

In the beginning there were reports that some had survived, but it has since been confirmed that no one survived. The U.S. Embassy did confirm that two Americans were on board but have not released any further information.

After leaving at 7:45 am the plane was attempting to land in inclement weather when it went down. All over television are scenes of the tragedy with airplane metal all over the vicinity. Rescue workers are pouring in to assist and the army is sending special troops.

Rescue workers labeled the scene horrible and full of body parts. There is no doubt in their mind that they will not find anyone alive.

There was a swarm of rescue workers and relatives trying to reach the area. The mud and fiery wreckage were halting efforts to reach the actual crash site. The same swarm arrived at the airports demanding information on the status of the passengers.

Airblue has expressed it condolences for the losses incurred and assured everyone that an investigation would ensure.

Airbus is offering its assistance in the investigation.

Speculation is that the weather caused the pilot to veer off course during landing and never recover.

Pakistan has not had a major crash since 2006 when a Pakistan International Airlines Fokker F-27 when down and killed the 45 passengers.
